High-end TV and Film Resilience Workshops
This training programme of accessible and practical workshops is aimed at heads of department and producers/line producers to help build resilience on a personal and team level across departments, to support better working practices and healthier workplaces.

About the Event
The workshops will combine real-life examples of issues and give practical tips, tools and techniques to build skills towards resilience and success. Recognising and acknowledging the pressures of the screen industry, course attendees will come away with renewed self-belief and an appreciation of why self-care and the care of your team are crucial to achieving goals on production.
Who it's for
This training is for craft and tech heads of departments in high-end TV and film for construction managers, costume designers, hair and make-up designers, production designers, prop masters, set decorators, and DOPs.
The training providers are willing to be flexible around schedules and timings for the delivery of the training.
Sessions will be 20 people max.
What it covers
Two x one-hour sessions: How to look after yourself and Ensuring good work-life balance
Two x one-hour sessions: How to manage expectations from your team and Encouraging good working practice in your team.
Each block will have a 10-minute break between.
How to look after yourself
Understanding personal wellbeing, managing stress and adapting routines for healthier action during productions. This will build to a toolkit of practical exercises, an opportunity to discuss issues relating to mental health and support options, in order to build resilience.
How to manage expectations from your team
The workshop will provide a toolkit of resources to aid with managing expectations, both from within the team as well as dealing upwards and sideways effectively. Course attendees will engage in exercises based around real-life scenarios with pragmatic feedback and best practice advice.
Ensuring a good work life balance
Effective techniques towards building a workplace environment conducive to good working practices. An opportunity to adapt working protocols that benefit you and others. Looking at support networks and wider entities that can be useful.
Encouraging good working practice in your teams
Focus on the key elements of successful teams and what 'good' within the context of production means. Looking at best practices around clarity, expectation, and ways of working in order to ensure greater resilience. Greater personal resilience results in better team resilience, and in turn, results in better organisational resilience, meaning less chance of conflict and greater success
