If applying for the Level 2 Grip Qualification and submitting your CV, please remember that Best Boy experience/credits will not count towards the professional experience evidence needed to prove that there is a very minimum of two years working professionally as a Grip after an individual’s training is completed and they have stepped up.

Please also remember, any references submitted by Advanced Level 3 Grips to support the application must be about the work that they have undertaken working with you in their capacity as a Key Grip, or working alongside you on the floor. These references should be from Certified Grips who have worked with you longer than a week or two. In other words, not the odd commercial, these references need to be substantial, detailed, and support the evidence that the individual knows you well within the workplace, and seen you work over a medium to long-term period.
