On behalf of everyone in the Grips Branch, we would like to wish Dennis Fraser MBE a very happy 90th birthday.
Dennis’s contribution to the craft of gripping is truly extraordinary. Over the decades, his skill, knowledge, and leadership have not only set the highest professional standards but also inspired countless grips to follow in his footsteps. As a pioneer of our trade, his influence can still be felt across sets today, where the techniques, practices, and professional values he helped shape remain central to the work we do.
Beyond his technical expertise, Dennis has been a steadfast advocate for grips and their recognition within the film and television industry. His dedication and service earned him an MBE, a fitting tribute to his tireless work in championing the craft and the people behind it.
Reaching this remarkable milestone, Dennis continues to be an enduring figure of respect and admiration among us. We are proud to celebrate not only his 90th birthday but also the immense legacy he has created for our community.
